CMS Assistant Principal Tanisha Wright receives 2021 Hal Beaver Georgia Outstanding Assistant Principal Award

Greensboro, Ga. — Anita White Carson Middle School Assistant Principal Mrs. Tanisha Wright received the 2021 Hal Beaver Georgia Outstanding Assistant Principal Award at the annual GAESP/GAMSP Fall Conference on October 24.
The award’s namesake, Mr. Hal Beaver, was a long time Georgia elementary principal and a past National Distinguished Principal. He started and conducts the GAEL Aspiring Principals Program and has helped to develop many outstanding assistant principals in the state through his leadership.
Mrs. Wright was nominated for the award by CMS Principal Mrs. DeAndra Lanier, who was also honored with this award in 2019.
“Mrs. Wright was nominated based on her outstanding job performance and her passion for children in our community,” Mrs. Lanier said. “She participates in many community events with our families and strives to provide a great experience for all of our students on a daily basis at Carson Middle. She holds high expectations for all students and promotes the value of education. She has served as a teacher for a number of years at Greene County Preschool and Greensboro Elementary, an assistant principal of Greensboro Elementary School, plus an assistant principal at Carson Middle. She is dependable and knowledgeable, and we work seamlessly together to move our students forward.”
Mrs. Wright is a product of the Greene County School System. She and her family reside in Greene County where they are active members of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church. She can often be spotted at the Greene County Recreation Department where she assists her husband with multiple sporting events. She is also a proud member of Lake Oconee Alumnae Chapter Delta Sigma. Theta. Always up for a challenge, Mrs. Wright has been involved in many activities at CMS and throughout the community.
