As part of our “Designing the Perfect Country” PBL project, Ms. Redd’s Social Studies students had the exciting opportunity to welcome Mayor Corey Williams and City Manager Autron Hayes to AWCMS!

Our AWCMS 7th graders are taking ownership of their learning with Ms. Callaway! Students are participating in student conferences where they are reflecting on what they are learning, examining evidence of their progress, identifying challenges, and setting meaningful goals for what comes next.

AWCMS House Leaders and Lieutenants recently participated in the Chick-fil-A Leader Academy kick-off! We are excited for this incredible opportunity for our student leaders to develop character, strengthen their leadership skills, and learn how to make a positive impact through servant leadership.

Our AWCMS 7th grade students recently enjoyed a special Book Tasting in the Media Center! Students explored a variety of books, discovered new genres, and shared their reading experiences—all while making connections with their classmates. 

Curiosity, creativity, and collaboration are on full display at AWCMS! Our students are engaging in a Kandinsky-inspired art project that helps them apply the elements and principles of art while developing stronger visual literacy skills.

Students in Mrs. Ringer's Early Childhood Education pathway are "linked in" as compassionate connectors! Students wrote get-to-know-me facts on strips of paper and then had to "link in" with other students who had related facts.

GCHS seniors Ethan Paschal and Jakhi Hall are interns with the GCSS Technology Departments and have been assisting with major technology projects that helped prepare our schools for a successful new school year.

What does a Compassionate Connector look like in kindergarten? Sometimes, it looks like building something together, one domino or Magna-Tile at a time!
