The Greene County School System will hold Child Find Screening Days throughout the 2024-2025 school year on Sept 25th, Nov. 20th, Feb. 26th, and May 14th. The screenings will take place at the Greene County School System district office at 101 E. Third St. Greensboro, GA 30642. What is Child Find? Child Find is a process that Georgia schools use to identify, locate, and evaluate all children in the district, birth through 21, who are suspected of having disabilities, including those who are homeless, are wards of the State or are attending private schools, regardless of the severity of their disability, and who are in need for special education and related services. Georgia requires that districts have policies and procedures in place to ensure the identification, location, and evaluation of these children. Click on the link above for more information.
