Mission: Our mission is to educate and equip students with the tools they need to achieve success, both academically and in life. We strive to create a positive and supportive environment that fosters resilience and empowers our students to become successful members of society.
Vision: Our vision is to create a student-centered learning environment that prioritizes academic excellence in a therapeutic learning environment. We envision a strong and cohesive GNETS network fostering a culture of collaboration and support. Through these efforts, we seek to provide our students with the necessary interventions and resources to help them reach their full potential and succeed in all aspects of their lives.

Meet the Lighthouse Greene Staff
Dr. Megan Chaffin
Lighthouse Site Coordinator & Behavior Specialist July 2023-Present
Lighthouse Greene Site Coordinator Dr. Megan Chaffin is passionate about serving students with behavioral challenges and helping them reach their full potential. She has worked in both middle and high schools as both a general education and special education teacher, and before returning to Greene County in 2022, she previously served as assistant principal at an elementary school in a neighboring district which specialized in behavior programs. From 2018 to 2020, she was a Special Education team lead at Anita White Carson Middle School in Greene County. Dr. Chaffin was born and raised in Athens, Georgia and attended the University of Georgia. She currently lives in Madison, Georgia with her husband Craig and two sons Jackson and Cam.
Dr. Chaffin received her doctoral degree in organizational leadership at Valdosta State University. She earned a specialist degree in educational leadership from Valdosta State University in 2015 and a master's degree from Nova Southeastern University in 2013.
