Exceptional Student Education
The Greene County Exceptional Student Education Department is designed and dedicated to serving all students with disabilities.
Our students are educated in the Least Restricted Environment (LRE) with their peers. Students are served according to their Individualized Education Plan (IEP) for skills mastery and/or Individualized Transition Plan (ITP) to be productive, self-supporting individuals.
The Greene County Student Support Department educates and monitors the Gifted/Talented and English Language Learners (ELL) students. Gifted/Talented are exposed to rigorous, challenging, higher order curriculum. ELL students are supported as they transition to master the English Language.
All Greene County students receive the support as needed from a team of experts consisting of school psychologists, counselors, nurses and social workers.
