Steve Kilgore is currently serving in his second term on the Greene County Board of Education. A U.S. Air Force Reserve Veteran, he spent 17 years with J.C. Penney in various management positions, directing the sales and operations of the company's retail and manufacturing facilities in the Southeast United States.

For 17 years he owned and served as CEO of the child development center Kids R Kids, which managed the care and education of 220 children ages 6 weeks to 12 years of age and where he supervised 30 teachers and directors of the privately owned franchise location.
 
For the past 15 years, Steve has owned a Business Coaching and Development business, Aim High Consulting Inc., along with serving on the Leadership team at Lakeside Church.
