School-wide Improvement Plans

A schoolwide program is a comprehensive reform strategy designed to upgrade the entire educational program in a Title I school. Its primary goal is to ensure that all students, particularly those who are low-achieving, demonstrate proficient and advanced levels of achievement on state academic achievement standards. This schoolwide reform strategy requires that a school:

   - Conduct a comprehensive needs assessment.

   - Identify and commit to specific goals and strategies that address those needs.

   - Create a comprehensive plan.

   - Conduct an annual review of the effectiveness of the schoolwide program and revise the plan annually or as necessary.

A school improvement plan is aligned to the district strategic improvement plan and serves as the strategic and operational plan for the school.  The school strategic improvement plan is developed and updated using a continuous improvement process.

Under the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA), Title I regulations for federal compliance, parents are encouraged to provide input on the revisions of the School Improvement Plans.  All feedback will be used during the revision of the plans.  All plans available for review online can be found below. If the plan that you are looking for is unavailable online, hard copies of all Title I documents are also available in the main office of the school or the media center. Feedback may be submitted by electronically submitting feedback using the “comment box” below.   You may also provide comment at any time to your child’s principal or the district’s Title I Director.
