Ms. Marjorie Ellis

Coordinator Career Coaching Program

Marjorie is a native of Greene County and graduated in 1980.  She went onto get her BA in Communications in 1984 from Loyola University in New Orleans, LA and later her MA in Counseling Psychology in 1992 from Boston College, in Chestnut Hill, MA.   Marjorie worked largely in Higher Education while in college and since graduating from schools such as Loyola University, Clemson University, Boston College, Appalachian State University and Baylor University.  Her areas of expertise range from Student Life, Disability Services, Women's Issues, Diversity, Career Development to Leadership. 

Marjorie's role is within the new College & Career Academy is working with and managing the Volunteer Career Coaching program.  Currently, we have 89 coaches working all 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th graders to assist them with developing a viable career plan.  

Within the High School, Marjorie serves as the new Wrap Around Services Specialist which focuses on  the "whole child"... identifying and resourcing the needs of our students that exist beyond the classroom which may impact their ability to be successful at school and graduate.  These needs might range from food insecurity, lack of appropriate clothing to family life issues, etc. 

Marjorie is skilled at career counseling, public speaking, event planning and career workshops on resume writing, interviewing and job searching.
