Doctorate in Podiatric Medicine, Internship-Jewish Memorial Hospital, New York City, Foot and ankle surgical training- Monsignor Kern Hospital, Warren Michigan
Hobbies/Interests: Two sons and one grandson (3years old). Lettered in soccer in high school; intramural sports in college. Currently trying to master the game of tennis and am enjoying retirement.
Career: Private practice Griffin Georgia. Founded Field Foot and Ankle Clinic and Surgical Center (1977-2000), Veterans Administration Medical Center, Atlanta, Georgia (2003-2010). Acting Chief of Podiatry( 2008-2010), Involved in intern and resident training my entire career, Medical Associations American Podiatric Medical Association, Georgia Podiatric Medical Association- Member Ethics Committee; President of Association 1982
Note to students: Train for a career that makes you, not someone else happy. Some people have a straight line career and know early on what they want to do. But don't be afraid to change course until it becomes clear what career will make you happy and fulfilled.
Note to parents: Acknowledge you child's efforts and reward him/her with your support. I've enjoyed interacting with your child and am looking forward to interacting for the next several years. Hopefully I can be of some benefit.
