GCSS Prep Coordinator Mrs. Megan Chaffin is passionate about serving students with behavioral challenges and helping them reach their full potential. She has worked in both middle and high schools as both a general education and special education teacher, and before returning to Greene County in 2022, she previously served as assistant principal at an elementary school in a neighboring district which specialized in behavior programs. From 2018 to 2020, she was a Special Education team lead at Anita White Carson Middle School in Greene County. Mrs. Chaffin was born and raised in Athens, Georgia and attended the University of Georgia. She currently lives in Madison, Georgia with her husband Craig and two sons Jackson and Cam.
Mrs. Chaffin is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in organizational leadership at Valdosta State University. She earned a specialist degree in educational leadership from Valdosta State University in 2015 and a master's degree from Nova Southeastern University in 2013.
