District Announcements

  • Statement on August 31, 2023

The Greene County School System strives to create family-friendly schools where the community is welcomed, and balance that welcoming environment with appropriate school security and protocols for visitors. Employees across the district work hard every day to create an environment where students feel safe and protected. District administration has been made aware of a situation at Greene County High School today where a visiting alumna was asked to leave and was not able to visit a high school staff member. District and school staff are looking into this incident to ensure district procedures were followed and reviewing our visitor protocol to ensure that stakeholders do not receive mixed messages and that we maintain a safe and secure learning environment for all of our students and staff.
