Clarence is married to the former Charlotte Redd and they have three children: Kelvin, Clarence III and Lucretia, all of whom attended and graduated from Greene County High School. Kelvin owns a trucking company, Clarence is a graduate of Savannah State University and Lucretia is a graduate of Augusta State University.
Clarence is a graduate of Hancock Central High School. He has an Associate Degree in Generals Studies, a Bachelor’s Degree in Therapeutic Recreation and a Master’s Degree in Practical Theology.
Clarence retired after serving for 34 years as a Manager for the state of Georgia’s Department of Human Resources.
He is a member of St. Mark AME Church, where he is a licensed Exhorter, member of the Steward Board and Sons of Allen. He also worships frequently at Boswell Baptist Church.
Clarence’s goal as a Board Member is to continue to improve and work towards a quality education for all Greene County students. He believes strongly that educating children to the highest level, challenging them to reach their potential and beyond is critical for them to be able to navigate the world before them and perform successfully in their chosen careers.
