When we first entered there was a lot of security around because there is a lot of money being handled. You have to go through a security check before you can even enter into the main lobby area. We all had to put our belongings into a locker, you are not allowed to have your phones to take pictures inside.

Greene County Schools to delay dismissal by 30 minutes on Aug. 21 for Solar Eclipse

In light of recent news stories regarding the safety and authenticity of solar eclipse glasses, we have decided not to distribute glasses to students and staff on Aug. 21 to view the solar eclipse. We will still, however, delay dismissal by 30 minutes for all students because the eclipse will occur around 2:40 p.m., which is around our normal time of dismissal for some schools.

In lieu of going outside to view the eclipse, teachers will lead instructional activities centered about this occurrence. Please remind your child that while they will be in a well-lit classroom, it will still appear like evening or nightfall outside.
